I have a few friends who have them.
Jason Hardabura from Saltimbanco has one and toured around S. America in it. And another couple also from Saltimbanco even brought theirs to Europe on tour.
    I vote YES!

I’ve had my VW Westphalia for 7 years and every time I head out on the highway I get the same rush of excitement as when I took my first road trip in it. Everyone who comes along for a ride gets a ‘house tour’ of my mobile abode. I am very much a proud home (on wheels) owner.
I’ve had some great dinner parties in the van (while the bugs or rain had their’s outside). With the roof popped up and the swivel chairs and tables in place, all easily set up in about a minute, there is enough room for friends to dance a little or lounge and enjoy a drink while I prepare a gourmet meal in the kitchen. I can even serve ice-cream for dessert, the fridge still works great.
It get’s better gas mileage than most SUV’s (I recently drove from Calgary to Kootenay Lake for 50 bucks), and is mechanically reliable (repairs have been few and far between).
    I say go for it!
