Do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

Stare long enough at the bottom foot with a half-dazed, drooling drooling facial expression, and she will switch direction.

This is cool. But what optical illusion? (I’m still admiring the dancer in profile.) OK, seriously, I have two things to say about this. First, would somebody please clear up for me what is meant by the dancer turning clockwise or anticlockwise? Do those terms automatically place me above the dancer looking down at the top of her head, and if so, why is that? And second, if that is what is meant by the term, then not only am I “right-brained”, but it would appear that I am thoroughly right-brained, as I can’t get her to go the other way, even though I can imagine what it would like! (I know, I know, why should SHE be any different?)
I see her only clockwise,
but when I clicked the link to original story, I saw on counter clockwise…
something is awry!
