editing .MTS files on Apple

I’ve been frustrated trying to edit video from a Canon XA10 camcorder.

The default file format is .MTS.

Unfortunately iMovie 9 does not import that format.

The GOOD NEWS — iMovie 11 does import that format. With my next MacBook Air, I should be able to import.

    Yup, thrilled to find a month ago, that when I updated my iPhoto, it now also imports my AVCHD stuff. 🙂 I upgraded iPhoto in the hope that it would stop crashing when I try to import more than a couple years of my photos into it. No luck there, still fails miserably with my 600 Gb collection…
