Stranger Things – my review

After reading some great reviews, I downloaded season 1.

It’s excellent.

These latchkey kids got a lot more excited for Dungeons and Dragons than I did, however.

Netflix is doing something fantastic with this experiment. It’s made by fewer people than any other TV show.

Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven is superb.

Stranger Things is an American science fiction-horror web television series …

The plot follows the disappearance of a young boy, and the appearance of a telekinetic girl, who helps his friends in their search, while the boy’s older brother, his mother, and the town police chief start their own investigations.

The show is set in the 1980s … and is a homage to 1980s pop culture, inspired and aesthetically informed by the works of Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, Stephen King, Robert Zemeckis, and George Lucas, among others. …

Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes gave the series an approval rating of 95% …

If the series seems familiar, here’s why. Click PLAY or watch it on Vimeo.
