Why is he interesting?
He slings the same hash as most other US Democratic politicians. Just going through his video (oops, sorry, NOT his video, I’m sure he doesn’t even know about it), I hear hope, not cycnicism; jobs with living wages; access to health care; schools adequately funded; foreign policy based not on might but on quality of moral character of nation; every senior citizen should be able to retire with dignity and respect; and then wind at our backs and destiny hooey.
So again, what in there is particularly interesting, especially to you, a Canadian living in Canada? Is it just that he is black?
He’s different. Black. Young.
(I’d be happier if he was female, as well.)
He’s charismatic.
He’s not married to Bill Clinton.
Also, I am waiting on the first politician to catch on because of the internet. Swept to power because of a voter movement on-line, rather than because the lobbyists and back room boys buy him into office.
