I’ve been totally into the new $300 million Microsoft ad campaign. For once the world’s most boring company is interesting.
Game on.
In the long run, though, MS is doomed to failure. Like Charlie Brown, the best they can ever hope for is to be a lovable loser.
… After dumping its $10 million contract with Jerry Seinfeld after just three ads (only two of which even aired) Microsoft has created new ad copy where regular people and a few celebrities say, “I’m a PC!” One problem with the campaign’s credibility: the ad work was created using Macs. …
Someone hurriedly scrubbed the evidence from the internet after discovery.

You’re too funny Rick. You’re such a hardcore Mac-ite. But I’m sure the “lovable loser” is still laughing all the way to the bank as the last time I looked they still had the lion’s share of that market, while the apparent “winner” still does not. As you well know I’m no fan of MS myself but to call them a loser is a stretch.
I wonder of you learn to hate the Mac as much as MS if (and when?) they ever become the top dog in the field. Last I looked they have done nothing special for their most loyal fan. LOL
