would Americans elect Sarah Palin?

Sadly, this photo of Sarah Palin is a fake.

Sad because it’s quite representative of her.

I’m reading that Palin is leading other potential Republican candidates for the 2012 election. Are the Republicans really that hard up?

She would be a disastrous President. An international embarrassment.

Yet the U.S.A. just might elect this unqualified woman. They elected an incoherent named Scott Brown recently, in a protest vote.

BBC poses another good question about Americans: Why do people vote against their own interests?

… it is striking that the people who most dislike the whole idea of healthcare reform- the ones who think it is socialist, godless, a step on the road to a police state – are often the ones it seems designed to help.

In Texas, where barely two-thirds of the population have full health insurance and over a fifth of all children have no cover at all, opposition to the legislation is currently running at 87%. …

I can understand a Texan voting against Obama. But I can’t understand what they see in Palin.

It’s not just me. I traveled for months in Europe and Asia last year. Not one non-American I spoke with liked Bush, McCain or Palin. Why do Americans vote for these people?

Enlighten me in a comment.

  1. Well I didn’t vote for Bush, Mc Cain, or Obama. I just don’t vote for anyone who talks out of both sides of their mouths ( out right Liar ). So, far Sarah Palin…I haven’t caught in a lie…but beleive me, I will be searching for one.
And I sure don’t think we should back any person who has no respect for the very Oath they took to get that Office. To uphold the Constitution of the United States.
And I sure don’t think we should back anyone who wants to spend one cent on anything until the deficit is down.
So, I guess …that leaves your Obama out too. At least Sarah Palin seems to want to uphold the Constitution, she seems to want to try to get the deficit down, she seems to have some balls to stand up to the hippocrits in Washington DC, she seems to have a pretty level …wittiness about her. More down to earth than many of them there in Washington DC.
I do beleive that alot of you are afraid of her. The more you try to put her down the more She comes on …Even stronger than before.
I do beleive come November that alot of you Democrats and alot of Republicans are going to get one big shock…Those parties don’t hold any integritiy to alot of American people. Enough people to make a real difference …and no …not Obama’s style of CHANGE !!!

    1. Thanks lizzygram.

You may not be able to vote in the next election, sounds to me.

Neither party has a shred of fiscal responsibility. Republicans have out spent Democrats for decades, despite all the blather to the contrary.

I live here in the USA and I am absolutely flummoxed by what anyone would see in her. One word and only one comes to mind when her name is mentioned – jackass.

  3. OH …You are so wrong Rick. I have my eyes on a very limited few of potentials. I have done my share of homework on who or what parties are more fiscal responsibilty…neither is right. That is why the Tea Party Movement is now here.
