$80 rent-a-car flat

I was camping in Southern California close to the Mexican border.

Awoke to a flat tire.

Called my rent-a-car company. Since I’d not paid extra for insurance I had two choices:

1) drive directly back to the rental location
2) pay to have them come out and replace the flat

I took option 1. The toy tire.

$80 additional charge on return. No grief.

When I asked the guy at Advantage if it was worth hounding my credit card company for reimbursement, he laughed. Told me there was 0% chance to get that $80 back.
