what is “social networking”?

MySpace is the largest site (has more pages) on the internet after Yahoo. The advertising potential of sites like MySpace have entrepreneurs drooling.

I hear the term Social Networking a lot of late. But what does it mean?

It refers to websites focused on getting people together who have common interests.

Connecting people with a common passion

Sounds good. I want to put together a social network of gymnastics coaches on a new site GymnasticsCoaching.com

I’m brainstorming the best way to put GC.com together if you have any suggestions.

Blog format? Wiki format?

Interactivity is key.

Having judged the 1994 Commonwealth Games, I know just how much fun they will be.

Good luck to Olympic Champion Kyle Shewfelt and the entire Canadian delegation. The Aussies will be tough at home. Those people love sport!

Kyle Shewfelt to defend at Commonwealth Games

kyleNothing is more tempting than “retiring” after winning the Olympic Games. Retiring undefeated.

But 18-months after his victory in Athens, Kyle is preparing to defend his Commonwealth Games titles on Floor and Vault. He won 4-years-ago and will be the favourite again this time.

For Canadians the Commonwealth Games are the FUN Olympics.

Only the French could have come up with a sport this insane. You may have seen videos clips of youth in street clothes running, overcoming natural obstacles on the route with a variety of gymnastic and acrobatic moves including jumps & wall runs. It is an urban thing.

As usual, the recently maligned Wikipedia is the best reference on the web for anything interesting:

I guess I will take Salma, who still regrets not becoming a full-time gymnast.

Hayek was offered a shot on Mexico’s national team but her father refused.

Who knows if Penelope can do gymnastics?
