Huh? Don’t get what you mean “was certainly not approved by the parents of the girls who put it together”. I’d bet the parents may have been unaware of its making, but are nevertheless as proud as punch of their girls for doing such a self-expressive self-assertive piece of art. And that doesn’t even get into the technical details of perfect video editing. Heck, watching it makes me feel happy just to be human.
You’re right about internet content, though. If everybody else is doing it for free, how does someone make a living supplying content to the web? Not with one-offs, but people may still take a look (and advertisers may then pay) at content from people with a reputation. (How to get the reputation? Offer it for free …)
