Any tips for booking a flight with Air Canada AEROPLAN points ?? …
I tried booking a trip to Asia online via the link above.
First attempt was 75,000 points AND $778.68 CAD taxes. … I’m guessing that’s normal for Aeroplan.
But what’s the advantage of using my points again? … I might find a NEW return flight for $778.68.
Once I use these points, I’ll completely abandon frequent flyer programs. I don’t use any one airline enough to make it worthwhile.

I had a flight booked with aeroplan, but was diagnosed with breast cancer just 10 days before the flight. I cannot put these back into my account with no fee (their policy is there has to be 22 days leeway), or I have basically to be in hospital on my death bed. Nice going Aeroplan – you certainly seem like a company with no heart.
I am sorry to hear about your condition but, really, stop your bitching… I bet there are tones of people that call in with even better (and often fake) excuses to get out of paying fees. How is the company to know whether you are telling the truth or not? Were you going to send them your medical records?
