I’ve been playing around with some settings on this site.

The major change was to increase the size of the font in the main post. (Old folks like me have trouble reading small words on screen.)

Most browsers have excellent ZOOM functions. But many users don’t know about them.

I zoom in and out of pages constantly using keyboard shortcuts.

1000 Awesome Things is just a time-ticking countdown of 1000 awesome things. Launched a few months ago and updated every weekday.

Yer more likely to get dooced than make any money scribbling blog posts like this.

But last year I signed a contract with a major American internet publishing company, joining them as a paid part-time blogger.

It looked GREAT … at the time.

And — in December — shut down with little explanation.

Ah well …

The best of the Facebook-like social networks right now is Friendfeed, I think.

FriendFeed helps you discover and discuss interesting stuff that your friends and family find on the web.

I’m experimenting posting my own Friendfeed on this site. Scroll down to the bottom of the navigation if you want to check out my own contributions. All my blog posts, photos, videos, etc. will appear there in a chronological order from most recent to oldest.

I don’t have many Friendfeed friends as yet. There’s no telling whether this service will survive. Facebook could easily swallow this and the other social networkds over the coming years.
