I’m a busy boy these days.
Next week I’m honoured to be a Gymnastics Saskatchewan coach at Nationals, being hosted in my newly adopted home town of Regina. 🙂
I have two girls competing, Bre Franklin and Mia Dimas. Cheer us on.
I normally pay no attention to Mark Cuban. But this post of his got me thinking.
Remember the housing meltdown? Tough to forget isn’t it. The formula for the housing boom and bust was simple. A lot of easy money being lent to buyers who couldn’t afford the money they were borrowing. …
Can someone please explain to me how what is happening in higher education is any different ?
Its far too easy to borrow money for college. Did you know that there is more outstanding debt for student loans than there is for Auto Loans or Credit Card loans ? That’s right. The 37mm holders of student loans have more debt than the 175mm or so credit card owners in this country and more than the all of the debt on cars in this country. While the average student loan debt is about 23k. The median is close to $12,500. And growing. Past 1 TRILLION DOLLARS.We freak out about the Trillions of dollars in debt our country faces. What about the TRILLION DOLLARs plus in debt college kids are facing? …

If you don’t use twitter, I recommend you stay away.
But it’s actually the best way to stay on top of what’s happening at LIVE events. Useful for me at big gymnastics competitions, for example.
On my Mac I usually use the standard Twitter app by Twitter.
But the most popular client for the iPhone is Tweetbot $2.99. Much more powerful.
Click PLAY or watch it on YouTube.
Twitter is here to stay, I think. Once people start tweeting by voice, it’s going to be overwhelming.
If Apple bought the company, it might even get popular with the masses.
I coached in Saskatoon between 1990 and 2000.
Now I find myself back wearing the black and green. I’m “interim” Head Coach at Gymnastics Adventure in Regina.
Brea and her teammates lost their Head Coach mid-season. I’ve stepped in temporarily.
Here’s one of my bosses, Mary Lou. She’s back on the Floor coaching too after a number of years away. 🙂
Morning after the Great West Gym Fest we enjoyed some luxury time up in the Coeur d’Alene Resort Penthouse.
Lisa organized in-suite massage and facial treatments.
The wealthy are not like you and me. They hot tub with vistas like this …
Back at the Adlard’s Candle in the Woods log house, I got 12hrs of sleep. Catching up for some short nights during the meet.
I chased Dave around the back roads one afternoon.
