I rented a bike and rode out of Ancud, Chile in search of the best empanada.
Since I’m carrying a dedicated camera (Elf) and dedicated camcorder (Vixia) I don’t often use my iPhone X.
As an experiment, all my photos on this post are from the iPhone.
On my computer the iPhone original photos look better than the Elf pics. But do they look better once reduced in size for the web?
I’m not sure.
Over the years I’ve tried a number of GorillaPods.
Cheap ones break quickly. Higher quality versions are a bit heavy and bulky.
A salesman at the Camera Store in Calgary recommended this alternative. I love it. Cheaper than a GorillaPod and far more durable. It’s light and compact for travel.
I’m using it with my Elf camera and Vixia camcorder. It wraps around either in their travel cases on my hip.

It’s an evocative place.
I was there on an excellent group tour. Our guide made the place come to life.
Catholic families visit their dead relatives often: birthdays, death days, holidays, Christmas. They leave gifts behind.
Rich families, companies and social groups have huge memorials.
Some are tacky.

Flickr does not store the photo on my site so it could be less reliable. Google sends a copy of the original so it’s less likely to fail.

I spent a week in Göreme, Turkey.
I tripped over to Walmart to purchase my 3rd Elf.
I like this camera. But they only last about a year before the telescoping lens fails.
The camera rack at a Burlington ONT Walmart was empty. The salesman told me they were getting out of camera sales. That’s not the only store.
Seems most people prefer to use their camera phones.
So … we rolled on over to Staples. They had plenty of different Elfs in stock. I chose the Elf 180 as it was least expensive.
I’m experimenting with a new photo editor called Intensify.
Interesting. But most of the filters look fake to me.
