Right now, the designers behind TRAGL are looking to crowdfund the device and have launched an Indiegogo campaign to get it into production. In just a few days, they’ve already raised $50,000, which is five times the amount they were seeking. That means the device should go into production later this year and begin shipping in October. Prices start at low as $188 for early bird supporters.

You can find out more on the TRAGL website and the Indiegogo page.

cup of tea in the graveyard

I’m coaching and consulting in Bermuda for about 7 weeks.

Most nights when I get home from the Gym I fix myself a cup of Earl Grey … and walk across the street to the graveyard to enjoy the dying of the light.

That video was taken on my iPhone X smoothed out by my Osmo Mobile 2 gimble.

That auto edit took just seconds on the DJI GO app.

St. Georges to Dockyard to Hamilton by ferry

During summer an additional Bermuda ferry runs from St. Georges to Dockyard. That’s a scenic 45 minutes.

On arrival you can transfer on to the Dockyard to Hamilton ferry. Or spend 90 minutes in Dockyard before catching the next one.

That’s a perfect and inexpensive Bermuda boat trip.

hassles booking a flight in Canada

I wanted to fly to Toronto on a Thursday for the Canadian National Gymnastics Championships.

Only WestJet and Air Canada fly direct.

WestJet pilots are threatening strike.

Air Canada costs millions of dollars on Thursday. Inexpensive on Saturday.

I tried dread Aeroplan. No flights available Thursday or Friday. Only Saturday.

So … I’ll fly on the Saturday on Aeroplan points for FREE. No, not free. I still pay over a third of the ticket costs because TAXES. I hate loyalty programs, including air points.

Planet Earth III is planned. But will be another 10 years in the making.

Bermuda cycling – end to end to end

Saturday was Bermuda End to End. It’s a charity fundraiser where folks roll, stroll and splash across the islands.

I was coaching.

The next day I rented a bike ($40) and rode St. Georges to Dockyard and back to St. Georges. That was 9:45am to 7:00pm.

St. Georges

Unfortunately I crashed jumping a curb coming into St. Georges.

Scrapes on ankle, hip, elbow and face.

It’s been some years since I was last injured on a bike.

St. Louis, Missouri

The Greater St. Louis area is home to nearly 3 million people. About half are African American.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Area had a Per capita GDP of $48,738 in 2014 up 1.6% from 2013. …

The city is home to three national research universities, University of Missouri-St. LouisWashington University in St. Louis and Saint Louis University …

As a tourist I found it easy to get around by MetroLink train.

Here are a few of the random photos I took over the week.

St. Louis Zoo

Saint Louis Zoo, is in Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri. …

It considered one of the best FREE attractions in the USA.

As far as animal prisons go, this one looks very good. Spacious.

Annually, approximately 3 million visitors get the opportunity to experience 16,000+ animals in the Zoo’s care; many of them are rare and endangered. The Zoo is renowned for its innovative approaches to animal management, wildlife conservation, research and education. And as a free zoo, visitors are encouraged to come back again…and again!

The polar bears were a highlight for me.

LOVE these hilarious characters
Having once fleetingly seen a Red Panda in the wild, this was a highlight

St. Louis World’s Fair 1904

The Park is fantastic. But very few of the constructions survived.

Bread Not Circuses.

The Louisiana Purchase Exposition, informally known as the St. Louis World’s Fair, was an international expositionheld in St. Louis, Missouri

More than 60 countries and 43 of the 45 American states maintained exhibition spaces …

… located at the present-day grounds of Forest Park and on the campus of Washington University

There were over 1,500 buildings, connected by some 75 miles (121 km) of roads and walkways. …

Some mansions from the Exposition’s era survive along Lindell Boulevard at the north border of Forest Park.

The huge bird cage at the Saint Louis Zoological Park, dates to the fair.
The Fair hosted the 1904 Summer Olympic Games, the first Olympics held in the United States. …
… sporting events, spread out over several months, were overshadowed by the Fair. With travel expenses high, many European athletes did not come, nor did modern Olympics founder Baron Pierre de Coubertin.
