visiting Quesnel, B.C.

My first visit to the north, central B.C. town. I was there for a 5-day Gymnastics course.

Located nearly evenly between the cities of Prince George and Williams Lake, Quesnel is on the main route to northern British Columbia and the Yukon.

The sunsets were brilliant due to forest fire haze. Forestry is the town’s lifeblood.

It’s on the confluence of the Fraser and Quesnel rivers.

I mostly walked and jogged the North and West Side Quesnel Trails when I wasn’t in the gym.

I was there finishing final videotaping of Gymnastics Games. They should be released SOON. 🙂

Port Townsend is for outdoor adventure. I spent a lot of time on Doug’s excellent road bike.

Doug just invested in a company producing Elf bicycles in the USA.

I had one issue. An ingrown nail blew up. For some days I considered fleeing to the socialized Health Care of Canada.

It quickly healed after we released the pus. A-OK now.

My friend Carrie was surprised to see her daughters on the front page of her hometown newspaper this morning.

Both girls are gymnasts.

history of the U.S. public debt

During the presidency of George W. Bush, debt held by the public increased from $3.339 trillion in September 2001 to $6.369 trillion by the end of 2008. In the aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis and related significant revenue declines and spending increases, debt held by the public increased to $11.917 trillion by the end of July 2013, under the presidency of Barack Obama. …

More important is the increasing of debt/GDP.

G.W. Bush was the worst President ever in his second term.

Obama was the second worst President ever in his first term. … Of course Obama had to take over the mess left to him on G.W.’s watch.

In any case, regardless of which Party wins the Presidency of the USA, I can’t see how the USA can ever repay that debt. They cannot grow the economy enough (as they could after WW II). And they cannot pay it back.

Something will happen.
