New Year’s Eve we made some resolutions. And some predictions.

I predicted 2018 will be worse than 2017. Mainly due to Trump.

There’s a good chance the GOP will lose the Senate in mid-term. And a slight chance they will lose Congress.

That will make Toddler President even crazier. Threat of impeachment would be likely. A prison sentence best case scenario.

It’s highly likely a threatened egomaniac would declare war. In his deluded mind it wouldn’t matter who he declares war upon.

On the upside, synchronized economic growth is predicted to continue. 4.0% GDP growth for the new year, up from a 3.7% projection for 2017.

REDress Project – missing and murdered Indigenous women

Half of the women murdered in Canada are aboriginal.

The REDress Project began in 2010 as a way to remember the more than 1,000 missing and murdered Aboriginal women and girls in Canada. And to prevent tragedies like those in future.

The educational program has reached Parksville and Qualicum Beach, B.C.

I saw them at Parksville City Hall.

The future of global energy

I’ve always been suspicious of stories predicting the rise of solar and wind and the imminent plunge of coal and oil.

But it’s here. Solar in Dubai is already the least expensive source of electricity in the history of the world — 2.42 cents / kwh.

I ignored American politics until 2004 when — inexplicably — George W. Bush was elected for a second term after being unbelievably bad in his first term.

What the Hell was going on?
