Hilarious street philosophy.

Nick Offerman has released four semi-autobiographical publications:

Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Man’s Fundamentals for Delicious Living (2013)
Gumption: Relighting the Torch of Freedom with America’s Gutsiest Troublemakers (2015)
Good Clean Fun: Misadventures in Sawdust at Offerman Woodshop (2016)
Where the Deer and the Antelope Play: The Pastoral Observations of One Ignorant American Who Loves to Walk Outside (2021).

He has also narrated all four as audiobooks.

Like most people, I love Nick Offerman as an actor, especially as Ron Swanson in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation (2009–2015).

His writing is just as funny.

When Nick wrote this 2013 book, he wasn’t nearly as famous as he is today.

In 2003, he married Will & Grace actress Megan Mullally. She’s MUCH more famous and financially successful.

Everyone knew Nick Offerman after his fantastic performance in episode 3, The Last of Us – season 1. An Emmy winning turn.

I do recommend this book. And plan on reading all four.

Funny TV sitcom.

Colin from Accounts is an Australian comedy television series created and written by husband-and-wife team Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, who also star as the show’s main characters. …

Set in Sydney, Australia and centred on Ashley (Harriet Dyer) and Gordon (Patrick Brammall), two singles who are brought together by a car accident and an injured dog whom they name Colin (from Accounts).

Ashley and Gordon are flawed, funny people who choose each other after being brave enough to show their true selves, scars and all, as they navigate life together.

Worth watching. Though I did feel the series got weaker towards the end.

The book is amusing. A light read.

I’d avoided this Facebook social media alternative — until the pandemic. It’s very popular with outdoor recreation folks so I started posting near daily on @BestHikeVisuals.

Day 1 for me on Instagram was November 9, 2020.

It’s shocking how limited Instagram is compared with Facebook. For example:

until recently, it was super difficult to post from a computer
Instagram images sometimes don’t show on browsers with ad blockers installed
you have no control over the sizes of thumbnails. They often look stupid.
Instagram videos are often poor quality and look bad when viewed from a computer rather than a phone

I’m up to over 600 posts now. And it IS rewarding to quickly scan all of those. And there are some very good photos.
